Do you find younger artists are able to trace the stencil well? I got my Christmas stencils from Usborne but can't find more. Where did you get yours?

Melissa meltay at comcast.netMelissa Taylorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15351051698870860742noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2828907640138776622.post-78586026291320810082009-12-18T13:03:17.212-05:002009-12-18T13:03:17.212-05:00I love it, as always Kim! This is such a cute keepsake book and one that'll be so much fun to take out year after year. The kid writing is always a favorite thing of mine to look back at!

PS: Your email had me laughing! Every year when you put up your tree it would be like taking a trip down memory lane. Ornaments children make for the Christmas tree are priceless, irreplaceable and treaured pieces.Elisehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01736379272589983153noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2828907640138776622.post-26067876129817007952009-12-18T00:57:48.761-05:002009-12-18T00:57:48.761-05:00I was just thinking this morning about how to pres...I was just thinking this morning about how to preserve my daughter's Christmas art. I'm thinking about making little softies with them but time is running out! I do like the idea of a book to hang on the tree.
When I taught we used the books with repetitive sentence starters a lot with early readers. It's particularly good with words like 'this' which though it is phonetically decodable has a sound that children don't iniatially know. I think the best thing about them is the confidence that it gives children to be able to read alone. This alone gives them a great start to reading.Kristinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09920161435091174646noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2828907640138776622.post-16904701057353437722009-12-17T23:23:57.903-05:002009-12-17T23:23:57.903-05:00It turned out beautifully!
