Paper Plate Dinosaurs

I saw this cute Brontosaurus on Kids Craft Weekly.

We used a couple of small paper plates and instead of brushes I had Lu use a piece of an old sponge to sponge on the paint. She used a plastic fork to add some texture by scratching into the wet paint. Plus lots of glitter and sequins to dress them up! Lu thought the Brontosaurus was lonely so we made a friendly T-Rex for her to play with.

These are so cute! You do so many crafts with your girls, what do you do with all the products? Do you save them? Do you give them away? I know some you make into other things...but eventhough I loved crafting as a kid, one of the reasons I hesitate doing crafts with my kids is I don't know what to do with the lump of grey clay my son shoved nuts and bolts into at random for father's day. It is cute, and I don't want to throw it away, but it ends up being clutter which I don't like. And I know that next year in preschool there are going to be art-projects galore coming home with him in his backpack. Tips for a clutter-phobe? Thanks! Abbie

I really like these. I will have to remember these for dinosaur camp.

They look fantastic. I like the way you modified the painting by using sponges and adding some texture - makes for some very cute dinosuars.
