My kids love doing this! They don't always want to wash it off, though, so now we've switched to mixing washable paint (if left to the dry the food coloring stained our concrete - it did eventually wash off, but my husband was not pleased in the interim...)
Mary Anne - we had a similar issue last summer. So now we wash our drawings away at the end. The girls don't mind actually the love an excuse to use the hose! You are right it does wash away if left out to dry just very slowly.
Sharon and Dawn - we just eyeballed it. Adding more water if it got clumpy. I am sure there is a recipe out their in the blogasphere.
We have a lot of fun with this, too. And did you know that if you have any left over in a bowl, you can let it dry up and keep it in a baggie. When you want to use it again, pour it a bowl and add water again. -Phyllis
Oh my does that look fun, and I'm thinking I"ll go with MaryAnne's plan of washable paint, because I know I'd forget to wash it off, and then Jeff would be unhappy.

This is FANTASTIC - especially since it adds some texture to it! How much cornstarch per how much water?
This looks like fun! My girls will love it this summer! Is it equal parts water/corn starch?
