More Fairy Crowns

I bought a package of elastic headbands on clearance, $1.00 for 6 headbands. They are perfect for making fairy crowns. Continue reading to see how I made this.

To create the purple effect, I layered a piece of red and blue tulle. To make the process simple I layered the two colors and then wrapped them around a piece of cardboard 6-8 times. I then was able to cut off a stack of layered tulle. You will need to do this step several times. You could probally wrap it more times around but then you may have difficulty cutting.

Tie the tulle on by folding your piece in half thread end of tulle through loop and pull.
I spaced roughly 1/2 to 3/4 inches apart. The tulle hides the spaces. This saves you time. When you add the tulle it stretches out the elastic. I ended up having to tie a knot in it to make smaller.

Cut two longer sections for the tail. Place the two longer sections up close to the knot.

The felt flower I made some time ago. It helped to hide the loop.

Enjoy! Hope make one for your little fairy.
